City Lights
Developed a procedural drawing program. Taking inspiration from Seoul’s city skyline and its reflection on the Han River, my program allows the user to metaphorically “draw” in the night sky with city lights.
Created using Processing and Java
Interactive art
When you first open the program there is nothing but a dark starry night. The two red dots blinking represent the aviation lights on top of tall building. The middle section of the canvas is filled with dark windows of buildings. While moving your cursor, if it touches a window it will light up. As more windows light up, the bottom section, which represents the river, begins to sparkle from the reflected light of the buildings. The top left circle represents the moon which when clicked, will reset the program.
