ITP Show Postcard
Brainstorming
First Attempt
Coming into ITP, I expected to learn, make, and collaborate in a single shared space. However, with the ongoing pandemic, the only method of connecting with another student is through the camera. Our rectangular box is our window to one another.
I took inspiration from apartment windows, where everyone is living separately but still attached. Each apartment can be completely different due to personality, style, and hobbies. Similarly, I wanted to portray how each student can be doing anything from coding to photography to soldering circuits at ITP. This is my humanistic approach to the ITP program, where we are not looking at the finished product but rather glimpsing through the window at each student's journey.
Final
For my final iteration, I tweaked the colors and gave the postcard a black background to create an overarching purple color scheme. I also chose Helvetica Neue for my font to emphasize the information. Lastly, I included the ITP logo.
